Q: Why does this aviation obstruction light only illuminate on one side?
A: At the factory, we set the lights to illuminate one side only. If you prefer both sides to light up simultaneously, you can easily adjust this by opening the light shell and accessing the adjustment switch on the host unit. By toggling this switch, you can choose to have the left side, right side, or both sides illuminated. Please remember to turn off the power before making any adjustments for your safety. For demonstration purposes, we did not turn off the power—please do not imitate this.
The input voltage of our aviation obstruction light is 220 volts. The design choice to illuminate only one side by default ensures that one side operates normally while the other serves as a standby. If one side becomes damaged, the standby light on the other side will activate, ensuring continuous operation.
