How to Install Solar Warning Lights on Traffic Cones
How to Install Solar Warning Lights on Traffic Cones
Solar warning lights help alert drivers to road hazards in areas such as road construction sites, maintenance zones, and temporary traffic control areas. When choosing a warning light, it is important to consider not only its lighting modes and power supply but also how it can be installed.
The LUBAO LB-6007 solar warning light offers two mounting options. Its bottom recess allows it to fit directly onto compatible traffic cones without an additional bracket. The included rear metal bracket provides another option for mounting the light in suitable locations. This flexibility makes it easier to choose a mounting method that fits your application.
Two Mounting Options for Different Applications
1. Direct Mounting on Traffic Cones
The LB-6007 features a bottom recess with an approximate diameter of 6 cm. It can be placed directly onto a compatible traffic cone without an additional bracket.
This option is suitable for applications such as road construction, road maintenance, and temporary traffic control. Before installation, check that the top of the traffic cone fits the recess properly.
2. Mounting with the Rear Metal Bracket
The LB-6007 also comes with a rear metal bracket. When direct mounting on a traffic cone is not suitable, the bracket can be used to secure the warning light in another suitable location.
With both mounting options available, you can choose the installation method that best suits your site conditions.
What Dimensions Should You Check Before Installation?
Before installing a solar warning light, check the product dimensions and make sure the mounting method is suitable for your setup.
The LB-6007 has a housing diameter of approximately 200 mm and a height of approximately 330 mm. Its base measures approximately 175 mm long and 88 mm wide, excluding the rear metal bracket. The bottom recess has an approximate diameter of 6 cm.
If you plan to place the light directly on a traffic cone, make sure the cone fits the recess. If you prefer to use the rear metal bracket, choose a mounting location that is suitable for the bracket and your intended application.
Solar Charging and Multiple Lighting Modes
Power supply and lighting modes are also important considerations when choosing a solar warning light.
The LB-6007 is equipped with a 0.5 W, 5 V solar panel and a 3.7 V, 2300 mAh lithium battery. The solar panel charges the battery, while operating performance depends on available sunlight, charging conditions, and the selected lighting mode.
The light features eight LEDs and offers three lighting modes: flashing, strobe flashing, and steady lighting. It also supports automatic light control and is available in yellow, red, and blue for different road warning applications.
